The Laurence Olivier Awards are the most prestigious awards for theatre and musical productions in Great Britain. Named after British actor Sir Laurence Olivier, the award is presented annually by the Society of London Theatre to honor excellence in theatre productions across London.
After two years of cooperation with the Society of London Theatre, this year, WECC is going to bring Olivier Award to China again! We will work with major live-streaming organizations so that the theatre lovers in China are able to grasp the most advanced information and enjoy the most popular musicals and plays in the world.
In the launch party of Olivier Award 2018 on January 24th, the president of the Society of London Theatre, Julian Bird, announced that the date of nomination will be on March 6th, and the ceremony will take place on April 8th. The theme of this year is “Be Inspired”. Moreover, there will four special events featuring special guests and experts in the field of musical theatre and drama, taking place four weeks before the ceremony in order to celebrate the achievement of Olivier Award.
